The ’19 Aero Warrior Reunion: Day 3: Aeros in Alex City

The sleepy little town of Alexander City, Alabama, rumbled to life on Saturday as scores of Mopar-loving hoards descended on the quaint historic streets. All the auto action and activity was to participate and take in the sights and sounds of the 2019 Aero Warrior Reunion.

The Wellborn Musclecar Museum was the center of attention with classic cars jammed in the outside lots and spilling out onto the adjacent parking lots. Many of the event attendants mingled through the musuem’s world-class displays, many seeing it for the first time.

Outside, the nearby Broad Street Plaza hosted dozen of cars, providing live music courtesy of area artists and musicians. Area shops, restaurants and boutiques showed the out of town guests southern hospitality, welcoming them in to sample the local cuisine and shopping.

Groovy Garb

In the spirit of the Halloween season, enthusiasts and participants were encouraged to dress up in their best retro garb harkening back to the boss times of the swinging 1970s. All kinds of far-out fashion trends were seen, with bell-bottom pants, scarfs and go-go boots being readily found.
